Waste Land is an inspiring documentary by artist Vik Muniz about an amazing art project featuring the people in the world's largest waste dump on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
The artist works closely with the characters in the film as they recreate photographic images of themselves out of garbage. A revealing journey begins which is not only concerned with environmental issues but even more so with the people themselves and their human spirit and dignity.
